What is a cookie?
Cookies are used by almost all websites, and in some cases cookies are the only way to make a website work as intended.
A cookie contains a random, generated ID that allows your computer to be recognized and collects information about which pages and features are visited with your browser. But cookies do not see who you are, what you are called or where you live. It also cannot spread computer viruses or other malicious programs.
For example, a cookie can be used to remember the text size of the website if you choose to change it. Then the text will be the same size the next time you visit us.
